It has been a couple of years ever since the appearance of COVID-19 where countries all around the world decided to implement MCO in an effort to keep the pandemic at bay and minimise the casualties. The casualties here refer to the amount of COVID-19 cases in the country. All seems better at the end of 2020, but it unfortunately does not last. The citizens of Malaysia were surprised with an order of MCO early this month due to the rise of COVID-19 cases, again. MCO is a hard time for everyone involved since most employees have to start working from home and only take-away are allowed for restaurants. Physical distancing should be practiced at all times and you will be fined if you do not wear your face mask.
However, it is worse for those staying at home like the middle and high schoolers as they are forced to have online classes again this time of the year. Same goes for the employees who were put on leave due to the quarantine or high possibility of infection at their workplace. If you are in the same boat as them, worry not as there are a few activities you can try during MCO.
It is actually surprising how many people are not familiar with the term ‘embroidery’, especially the youngsters of the new generation. Embroidery is a craft where you use a needle to decorate fabric by applying thread or yarn. You can even incorporate materials such as beads and pearls into your embroidery. The girls especially love shopping for colorful yards and pretty beads to be made into cute shawls or scarves. Some people have this mindset that embroidery is the hobby for the grandmas and feminine girls. However, it is actually worth a try since it is quite easy to learn and a good way to release stress. Some people who love embroidery do them as a therapy for their mind as they express their creativity with the needle and yarn. The final product can also be a meaningful gift for your parents, close friends or partner.
#2 Software Developing
With the constant use of technological devices all around us, it is only logical for you to do something related to technology as a way to pass the free time you have during MCO. Developing softwares might sound difficult at the first glance, but it could be the solution for you to learn new skills for your work or study. Besides, it could be easy for you if you have always been a technology nerd or the expert ones in handling softwares. If you have no idea where to start, feel free to explore mlm software malaysia where you could see what software developers do and what services they offer. This way, you could see the details of software development and then, decide how you are going to learn and start developing your own software. This is a suitable activity to do during MCO since you can do it in the comfort of your own house.
If you are interested in writing but have never had the time to try, perhaps you can start by writing a diary every day during MCO. This is a good way to express your emotions and practice your writing. It’s okay to start slow by writing whatever you have been thinking about and ignoring the grammatical errors and sentence structure. It’s your diary, after all. Perhaps as you grow more comfortable in writing, you can switch to writing fun stuff in your blogs or start a fanfiction to be posted in Wattpad. Posting your writing contents lets you communicate with your readers, which is a great way for you to get some honest and constructive feedback regarding your writing styles.
That’s all for the to-do-list that you can use for MCO I can recommend for you all. There are many other activities that you could add to your preference, as long as it is suitable for indoor use. Keep calm and let’s hope that there will no longer be MCO implementation in the future with the appearance of current vaccines. Whatever it is, you can still find ways to have fun although our outings have been limited.
